This knife was originally forged after one of spoon carver Darrick Sanderson’s home-made hooks. It is a compound hook with a bellied edge that thrives in deep shapes as well as shallow. It has a blended low-angle bevel and a heavy spine. This knife has a strong personality and responds well to multiple grips and cutting techniques, making it an excellent all around knife for the experienced carver. The hand-forged blade has a heavy tang glued in a double-palm length handle and treated with our own house-made pitch and oil preservative.
Blade crafted in High-Carbon steel with Black Birch handle timber. The price of this tool includes a machine stitched 6.5 oz waxed leather sheath, made in house by my wife Cody.
